All Real Talk: Andre “Dr. Dre” Young will reside in court for over a $1 Million dollar lawsuit filed, according to complaint:

Controversial rapper Dr. Dre is being sued by Paramount Recording Studios for $1,220, 500 for breach of contract,RadarOnline.com learned on Friday. The lawsuit claims that the musician, also known as Andre Young, and his record label Aftermath Entertainment rented "recording studios and services" but failed to pay the agreed amount despite multiple invoices. According to court documents, Dr. Dre promised to pay the money owed by July 13. When the date passed, music powerhouse Paramount Recording Studios took legal action in an attempt to get their huge bill paid. (Radar Online)

After a decade of recognition in the music entertainment business, I’m not understanding why Dr, Dre would be renting a studio? Agreeing to settle the bill with Paramount Recording Studios by July 13th, he failed to do so:

Dr. Dre has recorded at Paramount for at least ten years, allowing him to receive a cheaper rate for recording at the studio. According to the lawsuit, Dr. Dre and his record label Aftermath Entertainment allegedly rented the recording studio from April 2009 until June of 2010. Paramount claims that they were never paid for the dates in question. (AllHipHop)

Author Notes: Documenting your studio time usually is an important factor for the Artist and or producer with little or no budget. Most new comers don’t realize after signing deal whether their studio time is considered a free flow or an open tab. Many record labels accumulate artists time openly until they have reached a certain disaster point along their career… then it’s time to pay up. Never the less it is important to accurately document all studio sessions to lower risks of being burned.

Ruff Ryder rapper, DMX is a free jail bird as of earlier this week he got released from a Arizona jail where he was serving a six month sentence.

Trying to keep his head above the tax leins and owed child support, [google it] he’s knocking down studio doors back on his music grind. DMX’s criminal defense attorney, Glen Allen recently confirmed his release with the XXL Magazine:

X’s criminal defense attorney, Glenn Allen, confirmed with XXL that the Yonkers-bred MC was released after serving four months of a six-month sentence. As previously reported, the Yonkers MC was locked up on March 9 for for five counts of violating his probation, all of which were related to cocaine abuse. The Ruff Ryder was on probation for throwing a food tray at an officer while locked up on drug, theft and animal abuse charges last year. (XXL)
